The show today is coming from the Flying Scotsman steam train, the most famous locomotive in the world.

Noel calls this the steam factory.

The red boxes are on the train, along with a low-tech board and friends and family of the player.

Jason is a police officer and we get to see photos of his family, as well as him playing rugby. He says he broke his leg training and had to stop professional rugby and he then became a police officer.

Jason chooses box 8 to play with today.

A few observations:

Is this Jason who was on the wings for the final studio shows? I assume all the players will be from that final set of contestants.

Anyone spot the wrong font on the name badges?

There seems to be a red horizontal bar attached to the boxes, under the number.

It is indeed Jason from the wings.

Well... this is rather bizarre!

Not watched a 'live' Deal for ages, but thought I'd make an effort for these special editions!

Also, nice to see the regular Deal format returning - a few people suggested on Twitter I revive Deal-Eye for a "final hurrah", so I'll pop up with some analysis later!

Noel goes to speak to the driver and it turns out it's train-loving music mogul Pete Waterman, who used to own the train!

Jason explains the unusual way he proposed to his wife, which involved a t-shirt, but it didn't really go as he originally planned and the t-shirt ended up looking like a crop top. The banker says he has lots of XXXXXXXXXXL crop tops of his own! The banker sends a gift for Jason, which is a top with "WILL YOU DEAL FOR ME?" on.
