Decent offer but the £75K fallback would push me on.

Funny how there was a sentiment that the £18,760 3 box offer was stingy considering it's over double the Fair Deal and about 5 to 10k more than the Channel 4 Banker would normally offer in this scenario.

In reality that was a VERY generous lifeline that Luke was very wise to recognize was too big of a gamble to make with no safety net, and dealt for another big money spanking. :-D :smt023

After a slow start to the series, we're now getting a decent run of good games with reasonable gambles and positive outcomes for the players.

He got quite close to dream finish there, not expecting him to gamble yet the offer remained the same after the first 18 grand offer so no gain no loss there.

Congratulations Luke, glad you took this risk for more another Banker Spanking straight after Kelly yesterday :D :smt023

Great game, although that last offer was insanely generous. Just another time where you don’t feel like the Banker is actively trying to make the player lose the game.

But that doesn’t take away from Luke’s victory. He played a brilliant game. Good luck to him.

To be fair had there not been precedent for the really good 3/2 offers the ITV Banker makes in that situation by the sounds of it Luke definitely would've dealt at 5 box, like 90% of players did on that kind of board on the Channel 4 version.

Personally I like the good get out offer in a situation like that, it makes players a bit more willing to take a risk to get to that point and ensures a feel good ending in that situation rather than there potentially being a huge crash that shell-shocks the wings and encourages future caution.

Very happy for Luke - another huge win and the most he could've got out of the game!

That stick at 3-box was VERY generous though- I was expecting maybe 14 or 15k there. Presumably it was done to subtly encourage future players to go on, showing that even if you have mixed fortunes from 5 box to 3 box you won't be punished for it.

A great result either way - it's been a brilliant week so far!

It does sound like I’m moaning a lot about the new show and I’m not really. I’m loving it. It’s got all the things I remember about Deal - the great game itself, the getting to know the players more than you would any other game show, the unity between the players who are clearly having the time of their lives, the fun, the drama, the tension. It’s all there and Stephen is clearly having an absolute ball presenting the show.
I think the main problem is the board. The first five amounts on the red side being just 1-5k really limits the big money offers/wins. And the banker still needs work.

But I do love the show. It’s so so good to have it back.

I think a better board structure but keeping the jackpot as £100k would be to have the C4 board with £7,500 replacing the £250k. Having £10k as the 5th-highest amount seems so tight and you have to be quite lucky to even keep one amount above it to 3-box!
