£8,400 is a really tricky decision even with the ITV Banker's offer patterns, and I can't blame Dennis for wanting to quit while he was ahead there. :) :eyes: ;)

Dennis goes to his wife for advice - she tells him to go with his gut feeling. Jack says Dennis has done 25 shows and £25,000 is still on the board, and refers back to the link to box 18. Stephen comments on his wife's change in attitude. Dennis says he's changed his mind on what he will do with the money - he will upgrade Yvonne's car.

Dennis says:

    DEAL

Realistically Dennis only missed out on just over 4k, which isn't devastating given he won nearly double that, and this certainly beats a relentlessly unlucky game like this game was looking like earlier. :)

Thanks greeny for providing the commentary. :smt023

I very much enjoyed watching Dennis play his game - he was a true character and reminiscent of the many similar older players in the Edmonds era of the show, particularly in its earlier years.

By the way, not sure why they mentioned a few times that this was Dennis' 25th show - he replaced Joseph who played in show 18 of this new era and today was show 42, so he was on from shows 19 to 42 = 24 shows. :ponder:

Useless fact: at 8-box the four reds left were all the four reds new to this ITV version of Deal Or No Deal.

Another good game even if he could've had more. 8.4k was arguable either way and realistically only an utter fool would've risked playing on at 2-box, so really he only lost out on just over four thousand extra.
