Sam's dad says that's a fair offer but points out it's not £8k, so he could lend him £3k! Sam says he doesn't want to go away with nothing as he's seen so many people do that.

Alex says Sam knows what to do. Dori questions Sam about the security of the offer or taking a risk. Sami says he can see Sam going all the way.

Sam says

    DEAL

If he had played on Friday then it's so very obvious there was no way he was going to win the jackpot... and game before, he had £50,000

Boards like Sam had at 8-box are so hard to judge and pitching the offer at just under the sole remaining red other than 100k was perfect in terms of tension.

It's a shame he could've had more but totally understandable why he made that decision and he'd have regretted playing on and crashing far more than what actually happened!

Maybe cos it doesn't feel 'proper'. Or maybe you need the deeply troubled and unpleasant version of me to return  (never gonna happen, dw)

I believe I made a comment a few years back on the lines of ''a revival will just feel like a nostalgia session/charity event like Dave Spikey's Bullseye was''. And that's how it feels. It isn't ''DOND is back'', it's ITV doing a ''hey, remember DOND?"

Mulhern reads off an autocue, there isn't spontaneity. Edmonds made it feel like a psychotic death cult. The players ascribing memories and feelings to the boxes has never been more prevalent, almost as if it's actually encouraged. And it feels empty. Edmonds actually had the aura to make you believe something else was happening.

That... or people don't use Forums much in nearly-2025.
