Am I alone in thinking that the current line up of contestants looks pretty poor and un-inspirational?

Apart from Orry, Clive and Hayley (and possibly Deano and Katie) who all look fun contestants the others hardly make you want to rush home to avoid missing the show! Don't think from initial impressions that there's a gambler in amongst the remainder that would go all the way to £250k if a half decent offer got in their way.

Maybe it's an age thing, as the contestants seem to be a bit older currently. Before you accuse me of being ageist I wouldn't class myself as a youngster if I was ever a contestant!

Any thoughts?

Apologies - never noticed earlier similar thread about older contestants.

Must be my age!

Pity you had the impression that the 18th of december crowd looked so boring, had you been there you would have had the time of your life most of them were under 45years old and those that were older were even more fun,we had the crew in stitches, perhaps you were wearing someone elses glasses.

I think a lot of the problem in December was the poor editing. In Ian's game, reference was made to how he'd had a poem for each player, and they played on Ian being a poet. But on screen, we only ever got to saw 2 of Ian's poems being read out, which was a bit odd.

All of the shows are good fun but it takes about one and a half hours to film each show. a lot has to be edited out as it is a family show ,all of the contestants speak out quite a lot and Noel always comes up with good humour, i did twentyeight shows and the audience were always in stitches so if anyone finds a certain person boring its to do with the editing of the show, before you judge people apply to go in the audience and you will have the time of your life.there is far more goes into a show than you could ever imagine

Apologies if I've upset you Pat, this reply and other threads on the subject seem to suggest that a completely false impression is given after editing - maybe it's just the producers concentrating more on the younger ones that creates this impression. As I said it was not meant to be an ageist comment as I would fall into the 'oldie category myself!

Hope you did ok in your game (I'm assuming you're the Pat still there currently?) Would love to join the audience sometime to see for myself but finances dictate a 800 mile round trip not possible at present!
