Is it me, or are the names of the contestants recently getting shorter, and weirder?? I mean, the current lineup seems to have the most simple, or strange names ever:

Adie
Angie
Ben
Bing
Claire
Dot
Geoff
John
Mark
Mel
Nic
Nikki
Pat
Richie
Semi
Shaun
Simon
Sue
Viv
Woodsy

They are definitely more unusual these days. Probably just a coincidence, unless they are actively asking people to shorten their names to go on the show. Or maybe they're more likely to accept people with weird names. :shock:

Anyway, it certainly keeps me on my toes when I do the commentary - having to watch out for strange names! :lol:

Tbf, only Bing, Woodsy and Semi have strange names. The others are fairly common in some form, albeit some are definitely shortened (Mel, Nic, Dot).
