A story about Ferno's game from the local paper.

Grimsby Telegraph wrote:
Ambulance worker Mark Furneaux (41), of Hey Street, Cleethorpes, found himself on the receiving end of Noel Edmonds' famous black telephone when he battled the mysterious banker on the popular Channel 4 show on Saturday.

Now £20,000 richer, he and his fiancee Deborah Cutler (27) are planning to renovate their home and still keep a few pennies aside for their wedding next year.

Mark spent two weeks in Bristol filming three shows a day until his moment in the "crazy" chair with Noel Edmonds.

He said: "Noel was lovely. He's an absolute top bloke - a real star, and he makes every show special."

Saturday's show saw Mark get off to a good start, finding the £1 prize in the very first box.

After that, the banker's offers rose steadily from £4,999 (with a nod to Mark's profession as a customer service manager with East Midlands Ambulance Service), through to £19,999.

With a wedding to plan, the temptation was too great even with the £250,000 still in play, but Mark answered the eponymous question with a confident "deal".

However, the next round saw the 10p, £50,000 and £250 removed from the board, meaning that had Mark continued to play his next offer would have been a whopping £42,999.

He said: "Obviously, I felt gutted.

"But it could just as easily have gone the other way, and I knew how much I wanted when the game started. £20,000 is fantastic for us."

In the end, Mark did technically "beat the banker" when his box, number 19, revealed just £1,000.

Mark said: "After the show, a member of the audience came down and gave me a pound and said: 'There you go, you have £20,000 now' - I've still kept it, too!

"Now we're doing the house up, and I've put some money aside so we're just waiting to make some decisions as to what to do with it.

"Going on Deal Or No Deal was an absolutely fantastic experience and I would recommend anyone to give it go."

Yeah I wouldn't mind either 20,000 or 500 quid in my account either way
