Germany vs Argentina

Should be a fantastic match espeially as both teams are playing well my prediction is that argentina will win in extra time or by penalties

Italy vs Ukraine

should be a good match and i think we might see a shock by ukraine winning!!

Brazil vs France

a repeat of the 1998 final brazil have played ok and won but i feel this game will really bring back the brasillian magic and get their revenge on france

and finally England vs Portugal

well obviously i want England to improve greatly on their last performances and show mr scolari a thing or two and with deco and costinha ruled out ( gotta love that russian ref) england have a decent chance to set up a first semi final appearance for 16 years.

Predictions:

Germany 3-2 Argentina
Italy 3 - 0 Ukraine
Brazil 2 - 0 France
England 2 - 2 Portugal (Portugal win on penalties)

If I were a betting man I would go for..

Germany 2 vs. 1 Argentina

Italy 2 vs. 0 Ukraine

Brazil 2 vs. 1 France

England 1 vs. 2 Portugal

Germany - Argentina is the hardest to call. I'll go for Argentina, just.

Italy - Ukraine: Italy will have too much for the Ukrainians, especially now Voronin is out for them.

England - Portugal: I honestly think England should win this game, given the suspensions and injuries incurred by Portugal. We will rightly kick ourselves if we don't, as Portugal are one of the weakest teams left, after Ukraine.

Brazil - France: I have a feeling France might win this one, and upset the applecart. They have been written off this tournament, but have the bit between their teeth now after a great win against Spain. Brazil have still not convinced me, and Ronaldinho needs to come to the table if they are going to progress against decent opposition.
