I personally do not think they should.

Not only do I see these shows as standalone, as they're not taking up a whole week like the Christmas Stars or the live shows - but also, from what I've read on the "Celeb shows coming soon and Noel to play" thread, no-one seems tremendously sure about the times at which they're going to be shown.

Will they be on every Sunday, will they be on some Sundays, or might some of them be on Sunday and others on Saturday?

And let's also not forget that if a celeb does win a blue, his/her charity will probably get a grand or two anyway, which would cause a bit of havoc with the figures...

I voted no as well. It's like comparing apples with oranges.

I put no as well because it's not really serious gameplay just a bit of fun.

That's a good idea. I think we should do that.

Another thing we don't yet know about them, however, is how many of them there will be.

And even if we did, and they were indeed lumped into a "week" of their own, I would still feel that they should not make any impact on the Totals and Averages tables.

I voted no for the same reasons as others have stated. It's probably best to treat these as a separate entity to the other shows (which in effect they are), and judge afterwards if and how we should add the winnings/handouts to the totals.

Once again, I don't mean to sound like I want attention here - but if you haven't looked at my last post, then I quite strongly suggest you do...

Anyway, even with six days still to vote, it's looking very much like a resounding "no" to counting the payouts in these celeb shows towards the weekly totals...

I think they announced there'd be 8 celebrity specials, meaning it should be manageable to clump them together in one 'week'.

I still say, though, that they should not make any impact on the Totals and Averages tables - that is, they should not get a position in either table and hence remain separate from them...

I've heard on the grapevine that the celebrity shows will not be included in the show counts, and will be counted separately. Therefore, I'll label them as "C1", "C2" etc in the show archive thread.

Based on that, and also based on the comments in this thread, I'll put an additional 'celebrity week' in the payouts data (which will be updated as and when the celebrity shows are aired), but it'll be separate from the 'league table'.
