I know this is very sad, and I can't quite believe I'm starting a thread to ask this, but it's been bugging me for a while now so I thought I'd put it to a vote.

Back home (I'm in Wales at the moment) I have a spreadsheet charting how often each position has had the £250,000. (If you care, E5 is winning, and I think E9 and E11 are jointly losing.) Now, this evening, Conor had the £250,000...but Lucy had the top prize, which was the £500,000. Whose position do I count in the table? Do I count both? Neither? Any suggestions are welcome...

These games are really causing headaches for statisticians!

I'd say Conor too - to keep everything official. The £500,000 was really a temporary replacement for the £15,000 :)

I'd ignore today's game as it wasn't a regular show - keep a separate spreadsheet for the times when the £500000 makes an appearance (however frequently or infrequently that may occur in the future)

Yeah £250,000. £500,000 should count as £15,000.

Looks like most people think I should count Conor (and therefore Catherine), then...I might put a little footnote by Lucy's and Jasmine's positions.

Duffer's probably right, though - they'll do this sort of thing lots of times, and I'll end up having to shoot myself. Or just abandon the spreadsheet...one of the two.

£250,000, thats the only top prize on the game, the £500k games were just one-off specials.

If you insist on counting the £500k games on the spreadsheet, Conor - £500k replaced £15k. Just put £15k for £500k and put a note saying 'actually, this was £500k'.

However, I have a feeling that this might not be the last time we see the game played for £500k; double-money games are a regular occurance in Italy on Friday nights (and Channel 4 need help on Friday nights...), and the French made a permanent double-money change earlier this year (and also changed to 24 boxes - adding contestants from French colonies along with the existing 22 regional players - and also introduced a US-style set and graphics package). I would personally have a spreadsheet for £500k games.

When are you coming back so you can be my omnipotent Banker for, um, £500k games? :)
