Take today for example. Ken just happened to be dressed up with all his medals. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to realize it was his game.

Also, when it was Scottish Graeme's game, he just happened to be wearing a kilt for the first time and was his game too.

But to balance that, Chantelle came dressed scruffily because she thought it wouldn't be her game, so they took her out and smartened her up.

As soon as I saw Ken with all his medals I just had this feeling he was going to play. Plus he didn't look that surprised either when his name was called out.

Maybe he was just told that he may play today and so he dressed up just in case :?

Well they film 3 shows a day don't they? So the chance was, as he's been there one of the longest, that he would be playing one of the 3 shows.

When it was my show and i went in the back room to have my microphone put on the lady from make up asked if i had got my lipstick with me and when i said i had,nt she replied "i asked you to bring it in the studio with you" if i had heard her say that i would have known i was going in the chair she never asked me that before.Glen who was on at the same time as myself asked if he could go before the end of the week because his wife who was with him was having twins but they did.nt tell him which day he would go so it was still quite a surprise You are guaranteed ten shows but when you reach twenty you know you can go at any time i kept saying to the crew pleeeeeeeeeease tell Noel i don,t want to go yet i,m having so much fun so i ended up by doing 28 shows but when those lights start to flash on you to see who is going to be next in the chair your heart certainly does some racing.

That lady who asked about your lipstick must've been a right cow

Anyway I knew it was going to 250k Laura playing in January 07 because she was dressed up as a green quality street

Contestants don't decide what clothes they wear. Wardrobe decides for them.

You have just contradicted your initial point!

You are now saying that wardrobe know which contestant is going to play, that is not the same thing as the contestant knowing.

When I have been in the Dream Factory the contestants have seemed genuinely unaware who is going to play.

I can only say from my experience.......none of the players know when it is their turn to play.
And to confirm what Pat has said, everyone has an idea when their time is near (3 shows a day, so could be in a couple of days) but not exactly when.

How? What I'm saying is when Ken knew that he would be wearing the suit with all the medals, it's pretty obvious it was going to be him.

I guess that the players have an inkling about whether its their game but thats only based on the amount of time they've been there.

As people have said, the contestants will know roughly when they're going to be called due to the amount of time they've been there, or what clothes they're wearing for a game. I suppose they'll also put in a few early players just to shake things up a bit.

I saw Laura and Ken's games. I was sat with Carol his daughter and we were chatting about who was due to play. She said she was sure it wouldn't be Ken as Matt and Jean had been there longer.

She was shaking when he was chosen and she went to be miked up. In lots of ways I wish Carol hadn't been there as I think he would have gone to the end and won the £75,000!!

No one on the show knows they are going in the chair it comes as a shock,i did 28 shows and still nearly died when they said my name, the only person that asked if he could go xmas week was Glen but didnt know which day his show would be.We work two weeks on one week off and Glen did,nt want to go home for a week and have to come back as his wife was expecting twins and he did,nt want to be away from home but believe me i can swear on my life you do not know when you are going in the chair all the crew know but are sworn to secrecy.

The only slight clue you get is when the cameraman goes to the board! What you dont see on tele is after he has taken the shot of the money he goes down the back of west or east wing so you know its someone in your wing!!!! However in my game he went down the back of west wing and I thought GOOD! Danny has the Christmas show!! How wrong was I!!
we also used to kid other contestants if they had a NEW shirt on that it looked like aTELE shirt, I can honestly say we didn't know!! when we were on

Cheers

Wrighty x
