I think most of them would have played differently had they had better luck.

Nick - May have dealt if he got more money
Trevor - Lisa said he'd go to the end regardless
Fadil - I reckon he'd have gone to the end
Dave E - Ditto
Sally - I think she was a £30k targetist
Connell - I think he'd have dealt had he got more money
Giorgio - Ditto
Sharron - Ditto, I'm pretty sure she said herself
Tony - Ditto
PJ - Almost certain he'd have dealt if he'd actually got an offer
Adam - I think he'd have dealt had he got more money
Katie - Ditto
Shaun - Seemed cautious in sweeps, so ditto...

What does everybody else think?

Pat, just out of interest, do you know what Katie and Shaun would have actually done if they'd had higher offers/better luck, because you were on at the same time as them?

Hi Lewis ,I think Katie would go to the end again, and maybe Shaun, but would,nt it create something different if they were all back on the screen together, maybe if the rules were (you are all invited back if you go to the end.)If i were in that position i would jump at the chance.

Ah, thanks for that. Makes sense I suppose, Katie did say she was a gambler. Yep, it would certainly be different.

Come to think of it, last night I had a dream (well, it wasn't really, just a segment of a dream), in which a former contestant, who had dealt in their previous game, was on the show again and went to the end on a 10p/£50,000 final two.

Having won £17,000 from your game, would you do that if you went back?

Why? You are going to leave with more than you came with.

Thank you for making this post, Pat. I have been saying that all of the contestants who won a pound or less should be brought back for a second chance at beating the Banker for a long time already. They could call it the "Tournament of Losers" or something. USA DoND could follow suit, although we've only had one $0.01 winner. In our tournament, they would bring back everyone who won $50 (or maybe even $100) or less.

If i had been in the 1p club and i could go back, yes i would definately take the chance to be given the opportunity to try for the 50k

Here's my view:

Nick - Hard to say
Trevor - I don't believe he was ever going to 'Wakey it', given his Australia dreams he had to be a targetist
Fadil - Now he was going to Wakey it, I think
Dave E - Impossible to tell
Sally - Would have taken some risks, but to the end? Not every time
Connell - Not sure here
Giorgio - Or here, but I reckon a deal at some point
Sharron - I think she may have Wakeyed it, but with those offers even Beryl would have won 1p so no way of telling
Tony - A likely to-the-end - turned down a VERY generous second offer
PJ - A deal at some point, probably
Adam - Absolutely definite Wakey. That third offer was in the category 'cast-iron Deal if you have the courage to ignore the host'!
Katie - She would have taken a better offer, though
Shaun - Who knows?

OK! For those in the know!!!
How can we put this to the vote................... If and when we have 22 1p winners a special is aired, with all the 1p players!..............I think that would be really great!
Lets go for it! :smt038

Good idea, but it might be a couple of years or more until the club reaches 22 members, and some of them might not want to go back on.

I would because i would do anything to go back on the show to have all that fun all over again even if it meant winning the 10p(and have my bum pinched by you know who)

Personally I think it would be unfair on people that had won a low blue without it necassarily being 1p. if you were to invite all them back as well you'd never get any new people on and it would just be like watching re-runs of old shows all the time.

You might then also get people setting out deliberately to win 1p if they could see they weren't going to win a big amount just so they could get a second bite at the cherry as it were.

It would also be unfair on all the thousands of people waiting to go on the show that can't get on.

Anyone going on DOND knows there's always the chance they'll end up winning a low blue, it's just the luck of the draw, also supposing someone won 1p twice would they then get a third go?

I think the principle that you get just one go is one that should be maintained, once you've had your go it's time to give someone else a turn, if you only won 1p that's tough but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Who's to say that the 22 1p winners (if we ever get them, although having just had 3 in January, I'm sure we will have 22 before long) will be available to do it, and will even want to do it?

They had a lot of trouble tracking down Fadil and Giorgio for the DOND behind the scenes book...

Everyone who has been a contestant on dond want,s to go back on the show, they are obsessed with it .It has been 4 months since i went to Bristol to record 28 shows and everyone that rings or emails me say,s( i wish i was back on the show,i would pay to go back.)There is.nt a day that goes by that you don,t think about it and the wonderful time that was had by all.
