I found this on the internet earlier... very interesting. :?

Quote:
Endemol cash stash goes missing

Details of a break-in at the Endemol West studios in Bristol were leaked by a member of staff yesterday.

It is reported that during the break in, tens of thousands of pounds were stolen from a vault at the rear of the studios, affectionately known as “The Shed” due to their warehouse appearance. The employee of Endemol West, who shall remain anonymous to protect their privacy, told us that the break-in was discovered first thing on Monday morning. “The site manager immediately phoned the police, and they are investigating the matter with urgency” the employee told us yesterday, “I was told not to tell anyone but I felt it was in the public interest that this severe breach of security should be known about”.

It is thought that the vault contained thousands of pounds in notes. According to our sources, Endemol were planning a week of special Deal Or No Deal shows, to be shown in the Autumn, where some of the “low value” boxes contained actual money notes, rather than the usual card which has the value printed on. In a bizarre twist during these special shows, audience members would then be able to win the cash revealed in the boxes, by being selected at random to correctly answer general knowledge questions.

However, Endemol are now facing major embarrassment as the money reserved for these shows has been stolen. Unbelievably, it is thought that the security code to gain access to the vault was set at the default “12345” as the security company who installed it failed to set a unique code. An audience member is likely to have broken into the studios at night, entered the vault using the code, and then swiftly removed the money and left the premises.

The site manager of the Endemol West studios, 28-year-old Roola Flip, was unavailable for comment when we tried to contact her yesterday.

More details including pictures of the vault are available on the website I found this article on... click here.

More interesting than the lack of security at the 'vault' for me is the fact that this sounds like a very significant twist/ gimmick in the show.

Should be interesting to see how it pans out.

I knew it was only a matter of time before a pilgrim decided to take matters like winning big money into their own hands after seeing so many low wins

And that is appaling, security needs to be tighter :x

Now watch as they actually do that twist with the £5, £10 and possibly £50 boxes on a future show...
