I noticed that recently, Noel said:

"A quarter of a million poinds, 22 boxes"
rather than identical sealed boxes...

I was wondering was there a reason why they changed the tag line? It seems quite odd, because if it was normal for about 2 1/2 years, why change it now?

Not sure why they changed it, but I do prefer the new one.

Perhaps Noel just got a bit bored of the other line and decided to tweak it a bit. Though to be honest I don't see why they really need the tag line now.

I think it changed about 2 weeks ago. Not sure why it changed, but it has changed several times now.

It was "A quarter of a million pounds, 22 identical sealed boxes and no questions except one - Deal or No Deal" until they changed it at the start of Season 3 in August 2007 to "22 identical sealed boxes, in one of which is a quarter of a million pounds. It's Monday 13th August (or whatever the date was). Welcome to Deal or No Deal".

But they edited the date out of most programmes after that due to the show unexpectedly moving from Sundays to Saturdays again, meaning there was a dodgy sounding "...million pound-Swelcome to..." where it was obvious they'd cut the date out. :? Then from shows recorded after the point where they decided to edit it out, Noel didn't say the date on the recordings, so there was no more dodgy editing.

And now it's changed to what it is now. I think I prefer the latest one, although I don't know why it's changed again.
