I feel sorry for the people in the wings when a handfull of games have been low and the reality of the gameshow comes in they could actually go home with next to nothing,

Its all to easy for the armchair players to say i would of done this i would of done that but in the crazy chair i guess when you have seen so many games go down the pan 10k plus is a huge amount of money and would look good in your bank account and you can say 10k for two weeks work get in.

Yup - trainwreck games can serve as big reality checks to contestants and make them more cautious, sometimes excessively so. Conversely big wins can lull the players into a false sense of optimism and make them more courageous, sometimes excessively so.

Every game is different and independent of the last one. However, that's not a message that consistently gets through to players. With the attachments forged in the Dream Factory over the days, that's perhaps not at all surprising.
