Right, well I've kept the thread opening for a week or so now, so it's time to determine what the most depressing game ever has been. Instead of doing a poll, I decided to do this in a more interesting way. There were about 20 names mentioned; I removed some of the ones that were only mentioned once, and got it down to 16. How I'd like do a single-elimination tournament style method. I've organized the 16 into 8 pairs of 2. Everyone should vote out of each pair on whose game they consider the most depressing. From each pair, the one who received the most votes will move on to the next go, et cetera until there is 1 left. I think this works much better than the vote, as it gives people more games to vote for and makes decisions easier.

So, here is the first lineup:

Didn't see all of these but I've read up on the ones I didn't in order to make an informed decision...

8. Trevor (Sally wanted 1p, Trevor seemed unable to speak...)

This does rather depend upon how you define 'depressing'. Kelsie's game wasn't nearly as depressing in outcome as she still won an amount that'll change her life (why else would she leave that board?), but Noel made it unbearably depressing in that sense because he twisted the knife.

2. Brunhilde, by a long way. Christine would at most have won £36,000, Brunhilde had more different regrets than any contestant ever.

5. Madeleine, I suppose. Her game was more depressing. Kelsie's show was more depressing, but the wording is 'most depressing game'.

1. Can't comment, as I didn't see £1 Barbara's game. Swappy Barbara's game was quite funny.

3. Irene. I didn't really warm to Claire in her game.

4. Both were bad, Joy's was slightly worse.

5. Madeleine. Kelsie got £29,000 for goodness sake. What's depressing about that?!

6. Matty. Michael's game was a bit boring and his deal was just plain odd.

7. Olga. She had absolutely no luck whatsoever.

8. Can't comment, as I missed Sally's game. Trevor's was bad, though.

1. Barbara (£1,000) -Uch that was so horrible..just when she couldn't get her words out because she was so gutted..yuchh

3. Irene (52p) -Not so much depressing as the least interesting game of all time
4. Joy (£100) -I've said before, just the concept of a little old woman like Joy crying on TV, horrible, especially when nobody else cried for her..
5. Madeleine (£1) -Briefly remember this, not very depressing but more so than Kelsie's (that was just Noel being a prat)
6. Matty (1p) -He was an idiot..but it was still pretty depressing
7. Olga (£5) -I loved Olga!! Uch, i hated that game
8. Sally (1p) -Sally's game sucked. I never saw Trevor's game on TV, i have seen the end, yeah it is horrible, but I always liked Sally

I think you have to put Dereks game at the top of the list now!

He took it really well though, I'd really only class a game as depressing if the player reacts badly...
