Do you think it's time DOND got rid of the weekend episode and just stick to having it on Mon-Fri or do you like having the weekend episode as well?

Personally I don't mind either way. If it's on at the weekend i'll watch and if it's not then I wouldn't be that bothered as I know I can watch it the rest of the week.

If they stuck it at 4:15 on Saturday or Sunday, and stuck with it, it'd be ok. But it's silly they keep moving it around left, right and centre... meaning I have often nearly missed it as I've forgotten what time it's on (despite regularly updating the "Weekend show reminder" thread ).

Of course if we didn't have a 6th episode each week then the contestants would be on-screen for longer (in calendar terms, obviously not in show number terms). Imagine if there had never been a weekend episode. There have been 134 weeks so far, tomorrow's episode is # 812 - so if there had never been weekend episodes, tomorrow's episode would be about episode # 678... which was Reg's game from earlier this year!

Yes, I think they should axe the weekend episode. I've always thought that 6 episodes was too much. Maybe if there was the odd episode on the weekend, if it was a special day, like an anniversary or something it would be OK.

I don't really see why there are 6 episodes...I think it should either be on every day or only on weekdays. Having just one at the weekend has always struck me as a bit odd.

Yes, I think a six show week is a bit much - especially now considering the show is well within its second year and no doubt starting to decline. They're obviously getting relatively good ratings for the weekend shows otherwise they'd have scrapped them long ago.

No way! I'm usually very bored on Saturday/Sunday, so they shouldn't axe the weekend episode.

Yes, they should get rid of it. It doesn't get nearly as many viewers as the weekday episodes, and that means people are losing the narrative thread of the show and perhaps becoming less inclined to watch it as a result.

I do feel as well that they should get rid of it... for reasons already given by others.

Well there is no mention of DOND in the listings next Saturday.
