Since it now seems that £20k is the amount most people are going at, with no regard for the state of the board. I just wonder when that transition was made where people forgot about the £26k.

IIRC it was Matt who turned it down, then took 60k at 2-box, shame the 250k was in his box!

I know Brian who played shortly after got it in his proveout, I can't recall it being offered since.....

It was around February that the offers started to decline. The last game I can remember seeing a £26,000 offer was Patricia's just before last Christmas.

If there have been any since then, please feel free to correct me!

Here's another question:

When was the last time a player achieved an outright win after getting offered £26,000?

Because in the past, whenever anyone turned it down their game collapsed, and whenever anyone accepted it they could have had a lot more, and may even have had the mega money in their box!

Today is about the only time it's worked out perfectly for the player, I should think!

Norma also dealt it and it turned out the right thing to do. I think only 4 overall have done it successfully!

lol, I have to eat my words now. Although I thought it was odd how Noel still said "It's the amount that makes all players go" when nowadays it seems anything over 15k is dealable by the players. Why hasn't the banker said, say, 20k is the new 26k?
