hi can anyone tell me how many days off work i need to take if i apply and was accepted for the show..
some one said it was two weeks as my kids have flown the nest.. i now pay all the bills myself and was wondering how much time i need to take off

Hi cazzbes, welcome to the forums.

On average, people play anything from 16 shows upwards, and three shows are filmed a day, Monday-Friday, unless something changes at the time. You're usually there anything from a week and a half, to two weeks. Occasionally slightly longer, but you get to put on the application form anyway how long you can take off work, so they'll always bear that in mind!

I would guess about a week and a bit. They film 3 shows a day so about 8 days!

I was there 10 working days, and had to take that as annual leave.

My stepdaughter was recently at the Dream Factory recording shows which will be screened in January.

She went to Bristol on the Tuesday and was there all that week and the following week. Then there was a fortnight's break before she had to go back. By this time she was "in the zone" having done 18 shows and was actually picked on the first day of recording to do her game (not sure if it was the 1st/2nd/3rd game that day) which may have had something to do with her having her driving test that week and needing to get back to Kent!

T had to take 3 weeks off in total and it was all unpaid as she works in a school ... but she reckoned it was a good investment if she had a big win. I don't know for certain if that happened but she hasn't come to us for a sub yet!!

That should probably tell you she managed a decent win at the very least then!
