thoughts please,

Call me cynical but, if the banker looks in the contestants box after trick or treat and sees a low amount why would he then make a high offer.....he would not...he knows that if he makes low offers that get refused the contestant will only win the small amount in the box.......very unfair !

I reckon he knows what's already in each box.

During the "summer holiday ??" week when Em played the banker got to look in her box and gave her high offers despite the box only containing 10p....the idea being to bluff her into thinking the box had the £250k which was also still in play at 5 box. This didnt work for the banker though as she dealt and got about £30k for a 10p box

To be honest, I loved this twist when it was played during the summer shows. It added an extra pyschological twist that made decent viewing.

I also liked him looking in a box or two on the wings too, I thought that was an interesting twist last Christmas, even though it only got used a poor boards where there was only one red left a 5-box. They seem to have abandoned that tactic to only look in the box at the table!!

(It also adds an extra dimension as the player could call the banker's bluff by taking out the boxes he's looked in!!) :)

I would have at least liked to have seen it once or twice during this years Trick or Treat shows.

I just don't get what's interesting about it; yes you can try and work out whether he's bluffing or double-bluffing or whatever but you're never actually going to know, he could really be doing anything so I don't really see what's different to when he doesn't know what's in the box. Also it makes no sense for him to offer more than what he knows is in there anyway, seeing as he's so desperate to save money (although I also wonder why someone who's apparently so mean agrees to take part in the show in the first place, when he could just not bother and then definitely get to keep all his money anyway...)
