Hi,

I am a former contestant on DOND and was fortunate enough to be given my box. I am considering selling it via ebay or any other sources and was curious if others have been sold before and what they're worth?

Thanks.

Your not 250k Laura by any chance are you?, Since she is the only contestant as far as I know who was given their box to keep at the end of the show, on screen anyway!

As for value I personally would think it would sell for more once the show has ended as a memorbilia piece.

I am not Laura, no. My show has yet to air, but has an Interesting beginning and well, if I told you I won the 250 you wouldn't believe me so I won't.

I wonder if you really are who you are claiming to be.

I'm a former contestant too, and I know the person you're claiming to be, and it seems more likely he'd find better uses for the box than selling it on ebay.

With all due respect I wouldn't belive you no if you claimed to have won the 250k since there is absolutly no doubt when/if it is won again it will be all over the internet and media when its happened, like Laura's was!

It would appear (after checking the details of the account as we do with all new members) that Itisallafix is a genuine ex-contestant. It's not our place to publicly reveal who they are if they want to remain anonymous, but it probably is the one you're thinking of...

Personally if I acquired any DOND memorabilia then I'd keep it as a momento (especially a DOND box), but there have been examples in the past of where ex-contestants have sold their 1p cheques, name badges etc. on eBay (and they haven't got much money for them either)...

If the box was integral to a massive win in your game (assuming this happens), I for one would love to keep it and not part with any memorabilia that would forever remind you of the couple of weeks you spent in Bristol, getting to know new people, quite easily making new friends for life, and above all, enjoying a once in a lifetime experience.

There have been two boxes flogged on eBay. One was sold for £140, and the other didn't meet its reserve. Funnily enough, that second one that didn't sell had the £250,000 in it. It's up to you; what are you after for it?

Hi Guys, thanks for the responses.

Well, for someone that isn't very sentimental, £140 for a box that collects dust in the garage isn't bad.

And Rambo I never claimed to win 250k.

Cheers.

Hey, if I got on the show and was allowed to keep my box or case at the end, I'd never part ways with it, as it would serve as a memento of my experience on the show. The chances of contestants being allowed to keep their boxes seems rare to me, so with that being said, I'd never want to give something like that away. Since the boxes are empty, I'd put any other DoND memorabilia that I got from the show inside of it, which would make it useful, I suppose. Plus, I'd try to get it signed by Noel and the other contestants on the wings, if possible.
