That's the Wii version, and there's also a second DS game coming out too.

I'm assuming there won't be another DVD game this year... they were pushing it a bit last year with the "Family Challenge" DVD so I don't see what they could do this year that's new.

I was in Blockbusters the other day and they were selling the Family Challenge DVD for £5, a good price. Too bad I got my copy last year for something like £15.

The Wii game looks really good! I have a Nintendo DS Lite so I'll be getting the DoND game for it. :-D

That's the DS game. Also, the 2006 game is currently a pound more expensive than the family challenge on that site :Jimmy_is_great

Not completely true. Unless I misread it, in a new christmas catalogue we had through the post (yes, I know it's still August!) it advertises a New Deal or No Deal DVD released later this year. I think I read that right. Maybe they're improving the format even more from the family challenge?

Is the new DS game going to be any better than the first? The first was infuriating mainly because of the "box trick" business that was a bit tedious. The offers weren't bad, except they were the mean at 2-box whatever. Although it wasn't a bad effort, let's hope they can improve it this time round.

Why is there a Wii version? I can't think that the game would require much movement, or that it would be essential to the game...

(Although doing a back flip down the walk of wealth would be quite fun!)

I assume you can open the boxes by using the remote thing...

Here's the packaging pictures of the new games (exciting I know  ) that are due out on 14th November. Can't seem to find any in game shots though yet. Despite it's near release.

I like it how Noel is holding the Wii Remote like it's the phone. Perhaps the Banker talks through the speaker in the remote :ponder:

Hit the nail on the head there. There's also a lot of modes apparently according to Play.com

Here's some screenshots from the reverse side of the packaging which reveals a little more about the games which are due out on Friday. The graphics have the Mii looking style to them.

I wonder what The Banker's Magic Secrets are :suspect:

Here's a video of the new DS game - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=pVmqHHZFbsg

I guess it's an improvement over last year's version, but then I haven't played either of them, and I guess there's only so many options and twists you can add to a game which is about opening boxes.

See my thread further down the page for my thoughts on the Wii version.

In a nutshell, it's awful!
