Me and Aaron were talking about this earlier. What is the strongest 5 box? Or maybe the one you would want most? Post your ideas!

Do you mean the strongest you have seen on the show ?

If so then Daniel from Aug 2007 would take a lot of beating with 4 of the power 5 and £750 left......in fact did he not have all the power 5 left at 6 box.

Yes I do mean on the show. Remember it could be the one you would want not necessarily the strongest in term of the stats.

You obviously want the biggest amount still in play (the £250,000). You also want a good backup (another Power Five amount). The offer is always more fairer and usually greater if the backup is solid (so maybe another Power Five amount, or £20,000 at the very least?).

That's three of the five. But if you had a board like Daniel's, where there was very little to lose in terms of life-changing amounts, you would be next-to confused if you had the Power Five at 5-box. Sure the chance of big money would be massive, pretty much guaranteed. But the object of a gamble would be worthless, as almost everyone would see the situation as a win-win situation. So say it happened, and you was offered £95,000 (the average is £102,000 for the record)...despite it being a massive amount, the majority of people would see it as a guaranteed £35,000 and you wouldn't be able to view the offer as "massive" as it should be viewed.

I'd want a 5-box like Christmas Star Ian's; the big three there (which fits the bill from my first paragraph), and then there is still a risk of a massive crash possible there. But should the worst happen, at least it wouldn't be "peanuts", and in fact still a healthy £1,000 at the very worst.

And then of course, if the £250,000 went in the last round, the game would still easily reach a brilliant climax if you could keep whatever the other two large amounts were! :)

I'd probably prefer Brenda (1)'s last 5 to Daniel's to be honest - he could still have won £750 whereas she was guaranteed 10k. But I'd have dealt the offers on both irrespective of that! :)
