I must admit I've always regarded the banker as a somewhwt mystical figure with no real identity. I've just been reading elswhere that he was once outed as Alan McKenna, an actor who once played a policeman on Coronation St and is at present a member of the DOND production team.
Can anyone substantiate this story or otherwise?

It's Terry Wogan isn't it...

Alan McKenna was the name of the character in Corrie - played by Glenn Hugill who is the executive producer of DOND (and also hosted the wonderful Channel 5 show "The Mole")

I've narrowed it down to Terry Wogan and Mr Blobby.

Am I the only weirdo who imagines him living in a basement rather than upstairs like most people do?

Even though the Dream Factory is only single storey

Well there could then be a basement but not an 'upstairs'

I'm pretty sure the Banker said (as part of a joke) how far away from the Dream Factory he was once.
