The only thing I can suggest is there being more comedy, other than that, then seeing more games having one to open after each box at 5-box.

Having more games with the one box rule isn't a problem on the basis they use it on special occasions, otherwise the show will remove the whole risk/reward format.

Better offers!

Or failing that, more safety nets and less low blues. Why there has to be half the board worth £750 or less, and six boxes worth a tenner or less is silly with crap offers. More boxes values between 1k and 35k would be fab! :)

I agree with having less low blues because with more safety nets we'd see a greater prospect of Power 5 wins,
especially £250K wins.
I don't agree that the offers should be better in the current format though
as this would encourage even more conservative play with moderate deals.

Having more box values between 1K and 35K but with low offers from the banker
encouraging the contestant on to the end would create some great shows!

Yup, less pocket change boxes and how about a box inbetween the 100k and 250k? I've long thought the board is heavily in the banker's favour, it's like a one-box game from the start...

That's nice, someone to take a "negative" spin on the show,

Honestly, I cannot see that in the future with The Banker using better offers. but how do you determine better offers? The way how you would like the offers to suit you or the offers in comparison to the board? As we know The Banker takes the contestants profile into account, with their appliction, audition tape, his observation on their wing seat and all the findings Jim reports back to him from the hotel. Then when they play their game, he accounts the values that are removed in each round, also he takes note to their first reaction when the offer is being made. If they say "wow £14,000", then you know if you crank it up by a a grand or so then there is a chance they'll the offer.

The Banker has created a trend with his offers since June and has got this trend very much spot on, as he has getting contestants to sell his box.

Two things id like to see,

1. (As people have said) Better offers especially late into the games. Offers where it is appropriate to deal or no deal.

2. I'd love to see a few specials where the prize money is increased. Like the £500k top prize games i thought were great!

1. Return of the Saturday show - Sunday never did suit DoND, and continues not to. It brought some life to Saturday night on terrestrial - something no other show has really done.

2. More comedy - Despite my being firmly of the "tight statistician" point of view, I do realise that Ordinary Joe is not like that. He just wants to have some laughs and see someone win big, or laugh at a really funny person if they win hardly anything and are comedic in their game. So, more comedy in shows would a)increase viewer ratings and b)just make it more entertaining to watch. Easy. And it IS hosted by the bloke who did Noel's House Party.

3. More people no dealing to the end - MORE WAKEYISTS. Putting it simply, the object of the game - from Ordinary Joe the Contestant's point of view - is to win as much as possible. Besides, more risks = more entertainment for Ordinary Joe the Viewer.

4. No changes neccessary - other than those three, which really aren't that radical, I think DoND was alright as it was. Just a total change back to how everything was in the first half of 2006 (after the February box amount colouring thing) would be perfect.

My choices:

1. More comedy: I watch DOND to be entertained, not bored. A bit of a laugh at 4.15 in the afternoon is what's required.

2. Bring back the "blue blue blue" chants: Controversial, I know, but I loved them. It broke the tension a bit, and it was always funny when a power 5 amount was revealed.

3. At least one appearance from Mr Blobby: Mr Blobby is a legend and makes me laugh. I'm easily pleased.

4. More crazy shirts from Noel: If a game is boring, at least we can laugh at Noel's choice of shirt!

Bring Back The Blue Chants, New Theme Music (which would be interesting to see what Augustin could come up with to suit the rest of the show), Less advice from the wings (because it's very deal-biasing) and Offer-After-Each-Box rounds more often.

I like James's idea of more boxes in-between... maybe £7,500 £25,000 £150,000 for example...?

Nothing major really. I think the weekend show should stay on a Sunday now and that whilst I like the offer after each box at 5-box I think it should only be done on special occasions.

1. Increased prize money - Just for a few special shows.

2. More comedy - If a game goes horribly wrong then at least if there's a bit of comedy in the game it can still be entertaining.

3. Mr Blobby - Not just an appearance but maybe host the show one day or even become a contestant :-D

4. More contestants no dealing to the end - It usually makes for a more exciting & tense end to game. Especially when big money is involved. I wouldn't want everyone to do it though.

The one I really want (a new host) isn't there, but next on my list is the permanent use of 4-box and 3-box offers, so I chose that. It'd probably be a better way to incentivise risks than prodding from the hosts anyway!! Also more comedy.

More contestants no dealing to the end (let's make the show worth watching). At least one appearance by Mr. Blobby (perhaps as co-host for Noel's Birthday?). Oh and a decrease in prize money to reflect the current worldwide economic crash.(not really, it's only a game-show)

I'm sure Endemol will think of something radical to keep it going... they always do.

More Comedy - Self explanatory really, it is an entertainment show after all.

More contestants no dealing to the end - Makes the game far more exciting in most cases.

Apart from that, it's fine as it is. Although a few more 1 box openings after 5-box and a couple of special money games would be good.

I went for increased prize money, an offer after every box opened from 5 box which would be similar
to the American format, more contestants no dealing to the end, and more comedy.

I would have to say that a higher amount of contestants no dealing to the end would be interesting for a while, I voted for that as it is the nearest thing to more 'calculated risk takers' which is something the show needs a lot more of!

Something the show could benefit from is a facelift.. the boxes and values need visually revamping as they haven't been touched since July 2006.. and possibly the values could be altered slightly.. after all we have been working with these values since the show begun.. perhaps one random value being altered on a different scale each time? Anything on that sort of basis would be a good improvement in my eyes.

And to everyone who thinks better offers will help the show, if you think about the amount of dealers at the moment, higher offers will only mean more dealers!
