Colin played his DOND game on Monday 16th March, and unfortunately despite his best efforts to get the most out of the game, ended up leaving with the lowest prize - just 1p. His show thread is available here if you wish to read up on his game again - viewtopic.php?f=7&t=17323

However the story doesn't end there...!

Colin has produced several laminated copies of his 1p cheque, cue card (signed by Noel Edmonds) and the picture of him taken with Noel at the end of his game. He'll be selling them in lots on eBay (starting at a very low starting price).

They are copies and are NOT the original, but would make a nice piece of DOND memorabilia and would make a fantastic gift to give to a DOND fanatic.

The eBay auctions will start later in this week, and the link to the auctions will be posted on here when they become available.

Someone mentioned to me,while in Bristol, that some other 1P wnners had tried to sell their cheque on e-bay.
Though I am not that quick in believing that story, does anyone know if some offered their cheque on e-bay.
If so what was the selling price. and who in his right mind would buy such a cheque.
Surely it cannot be a collectors item?
So why would anyone buy a laminated copy?

Dirk - some people have put their 1p cheque on eBay but I'm not entirely sure how much they got for it. I did hear rumours that one person got quite a lot for theirs, but I don't know how true it is.

I think it's more of a novelty item really, and would be fun for a fan of DOND to own. It'd be a bit of a speaking point if they framed it and put it on their wall or something.

To be honest i think he'd get more for the beard, why isn't he selling the original cheque, did he cash it?

My bid is in. As a fan of the show I would like to win one. It will be interesting to see what they make.

The pilgrims who were in the shot as the pic was taken would probably want one too.

Colin was on the wings when I saw Dennis and Hannah's games and he came across as a lovely guy there :D

This second one is going to make more than the first I should have bid more

I think the others will all go up in value as more people get to know about the auction.

I have had plenty of experience with Ebay and to be honest i think Colin would get more if he cut the postage cost, it does seem like rather a lot for whats being offered.
