Just out of curiousity are there any contestants that stand out as having really annoyed Noel during their game and not just in the terms of gameplay?

I remember a couple of games when the contestant seemed to annoy him all the way through but not specifically the reasons.

One girl who stands out as maybe annoying him with a ridiculously daft comment was a dark haired gorgeous looking girl (I think she wore a bright yellow top) She won a low blue in her game and tried to claim it was a spanking.

Only one gorgeous dark haired woman I can think of off the top of my head would be Karina on Hallowe'en 2008 who did wind Noel up slightly. Her comment went along the lines of... "I've been here for 22 games, Noel so I know what I'm doing!"

His expression showed that he was slightly angst with her. But I think she won £1,000 after slipping up on a better Banker offer at 8-box.

I recall the game but whether there have been others, be it in a jovial sense, I'm not too sure.

I wonder if you're thinking of Jo. She played in May 2008 and claimed she'd beaten the banker as she'd won £500 on a 50p vs £500 finish (by no dealing £99.50), having previously turned down £17,000. I think Karina had previously dealt at £4k (or something around that mark), and then dealt the Banker's Gamble on £1 vs £20k, and won the £1k.

I don't know if it's down to nerves or what, but some players don't really interact with Noel that much during their game, and I think that frustrates him.

One example is 1p Rod, who seemed to rile Noel a bit as he didn't reveal the details of his system. Noel admitted at the end of the game that he didn't like Rod's 'secrecy' as it cut out the viewers.

I think he was exasperated (as most of the pilgrims were) by her taking so long to choose the boxes - this was one of the longest shows ever recorded! After the game, Noel went into quite a rant about her, saying "The game is meant to be fun, not mental anguish!" and mocked her taking so long, he probably also banged the table and swore a bit, although I can't quite remember!

It's the only game I've seen as a pilgrim where frankly I'd rather not have been there...

But Noel can be just as bad with all the suspense before opening the 2-box. £250k Alice Mundy on 12th March 2009 springs to mind. A case of 'Hurry up and open it!'

Only other time I've seen Noel vent his spleen was on his Sky show, 'Noel's HQ' when he let rip on a council who denied an injured ex soldier an accommodation until Noel got involved.

I'll post that again as its gone awol. Yeah that sounds like her, David. She was pretty stunning looking with dark skin and gorgeous almost sculpted face, but in her game she just seemed almost robotic and emotionless. Even the quip at the end which was probably a joke came across wrong. But having sat there and said some of the wall things myself I can see how it can affect you.

As to Rod his game was discussed when we got there as a reminder to come forward with any systems- although it seems they're now encouraging not to use systems. It did look like he didn't trust the show to be independent given that the boxes are random and there is no pattern and for some reason he kept the system hidden with his wife in whowantstobeamillionaire majorestyle.
