How is everyone?

It's been over 3 years since we filmed Laura's game on the 14th Nov 2006 and coming up to 3 years since I filmed mine on the 27th November so just thought I'd come in and say Hi and read a few threads. I really miss the Chatroom... What was the reason for getting rid of it?

In short, the chatroom was a battlefield for general arguments which occasionally got really out of hand...back when hardly anyone knew me on here, I for one was on the receiving end of a little bit of it!

It was meant to be getting reopened sometime last year with some sort of opening hours idea...but it never materialised...

Yes, I'm afraid it had to be shut down as some people started to mis-use it, which led to problems and 'unrest' on the rest of the site. It was excellent most of the time, and a lot of people had a lot of fun in there. However, once it reached the end of its life, there was nowhere for it to go really, which is why it hasn't made a return.

As H as said the chatroom was very popular for a long time with a lot of members, but near it's end it was being mis-used and was causing problems across the forum, so it was regrettably closed down. We had a lot of discussions at the time as to how we could continue operating the chatroom while providing a pleasant environment for everyone to enjoy, and unfortunately there wasn't a practical way we could provide the time or resources to do this, and we have no plans to return it in the future for the same reasons.

Yeah I also miss the chatroom...it was fun after an amazing game to come in and instantly talk about it. And those days when we had like 20 members and 5 contestants were epic

A shame that people were mis-using it, but last year weren't a lot of troublesome members banned? I think it'd work better if it was around now. Maybe just bring it back for one night, just as a fun little chatroom reunion thing, a one-off would still be really cool and good to catch up with all the old members.
