I was wondering if people think it's often a good tactic to deal at 5 box, because even if you end up with a high number, you still run a good chance of getting the Banker's Gamble? So say you had the following at 5 box:
100,000 20,000 1,000 500 50p
You get offered say £16,000.
Should you deal? Because you know that's it's quite a gamble as it is, but at the same time there is a chance, while not guaranteed, that should you end up with say 100,000 and 500 at two box, you will be offered the Banker's Gamble?
Having watched quite a few games, I think that if you reach 5 box with one massive amount left, statistically you run a good chance to deal at a reasonable amount knowing that you have already accepted a nice sum, but you still have a reasonable chance of getting the Banker's Gamble should a really high number remain plus an amount that is substantially lower than what you dealt at. Then it becomes 50/50 as opposed to 20/80.
I always feel this is a slight flaw, as while you can of course end up with two really low figures or two really high figures, there is often a good chance you will end up with a low/high configuration that will get you offered the Banker's Gamble.
What do you think?
