You're left with £250,000 and 1p as Alice was.

What would be the maximum amount that you would undeal to deal the banker's gamble?

In other words, what would be the highest deal you would be prepared to give up
to take the £250,000/1p banker's gamble?

I think about £30k would be my breaking point!

Get ready to gun me down.

I'd take the Gamble on any money I'd have already dealt at.

Why? A guaranteed place in the Hall of Fame...

I don't know - probably 45/50K but I can see divvy's point.

Probably about £27,500. On Thursday, I was thinking that had she dealt at 5 box, that would have been a far more difficult decision than £17,500.

Conceptualising this is easy - I'd be prepared to give up at most the sum of money half as useful to me as £250k.

What is that value? £40k I think.

Anything under £50,000 i'd give back and take the gamble, but anything over £50,000 would be tougher to decide upon.

I think I would be prepared to give up £27,500 to do this banker's gamble,
but £30,000 would be pushing it!!

Judging by these posts and some of the other ones made in active play, I think we have very clear evidence of the 'endowment effect' in action!

£27,500-£30,000.

Anything below = very likely deal the BG.
Anything above = very probable no deal of the BG (especially above £35k..)

[edit: Thanks for pointing that out..]

You mean the opposite: you'd No Deal the gamble if above £35,000 ;)

I wouldn't give either, for the same reasons as Big-Davey.
But if I had to put money in terms of value: Probably £60,000/£70,000.

I don't think I would offered the banker's gamble because I would be determined to go to the end. If in this situation probably £90,000.

I chose the under £15,000 option because it's the most that I'd definately gamble with the penny still in play. Any higher, I'm not sure if I'd be brave enough to gamble.

I'm thinking probably about £50,000.

I'm also not swayed by the fact that I'm up against the 1p. As far as I'm concerned all the blues are the same (except in one or two situations where the £750/£500 might be considered reasonably consolations - given the amount of the gamble here tho even these numbers become irrelevent).

Why of course. £125,000 or more for me. A seasoned gambler, I'd be willing to take him up on the annyoingly-game-voiding-but-thankfully-wakeyistic Banker's Gamble thing whatever I'd dealt.

Only, there is one slight hitch. I wouldn't deal anything.

I am training to be a counsellor so it would have be more than my projected wage per year I would deal at 25k-27.5k without regret anything less I could be tempted to go on!

I'm sorry, but if you would undeal over £80,000 on that finish, then you would potentially deserve to go away with 1p...
