I applied to go on DOND back in May and got a phone call today asking me a few questions and then inviting me to an audition on August 11th in Bristol!

As you can imagine I am over the moon and really excited. I was just wondering if any one who has been to an audition and been successful had any tips they would like to share? I really wanted to know what sorts of things would be asked etc and how you found it.

Also, does everyone who applies online get an audition?

Sorry to ask a question that I bet you have answered a thousand times before, but I am so excited and nervous I just need to speak to someone!! lol

I applied a few months ago as well. Not heard anything yet though.

What sort of questions did they ask you on the phone, mate?

They just asked me a few questions about my application and if I like DOND..which I obviously do! lol..What I would do with the money..things like that.

Hope you get the call soon. Don't worry if you don't get to your phone in time as they left a message for me on my answer phone, also answer any 'private calls' you get even if you don't like doing it as they will phone you on a private number.

I've been answering private numbers on my mobile ever since I applied I did expect that's what would probably happen.

I better think of what I'd spend the money on just incase they do call! In all honesty, I haven't got a clue. I have no targets or anything, and wouldn't even be overly disappointed if I won a blue. I just want to take the banker on and play the game and hopefully make it a classic for one reason or another

Hi! I've got an audition too! A lovely man called Steve phoned me and asked me to come to Bristol on the 11th so I'll see you there! I would love some tips please from anyone who has recently been to an audition. What will they ask me? What should I wear!? Should I stay the previous night at the hotel!? I am sooooooo scared! I had my audition this afternoon in London. Unfortunately, I didn't make it beyond the 60 second interview stage, but I don't think I would've done anything differently given the chance again, so I suppose it just wasn't to be!

Nor me Old Faithful! Met some brilliant people though. I think they were looking for people with stories and unfortunately I didn't have one, I just genuinely could have done with the money, ah well!!

I felt alright about it yesterday but it's sunk in today and I'm a bit gutted now.
