Don't see why this doesn't warrant a poll TBH...

And I don't see at all why it wasn't worth going on at 8-box when there were three distinctly bigger amounts than the £13k that Woody was offered.

(I've italicised 'three' for emphasis.)

Yes, that £13k was a very good offer considering that (1) Woody had just lost the £250k and (2) the average at that point was £18,725.

BUT...

He would have been seriously unlucky to take out even two of those aforementioned three amounts in the following three boxes... while taking out just one would not have been a disaster.

As it turned out, he took out the £20k, and had he been in live play the Banker would have offered £17.5k, which is very plausible.

Taking out the £75k, meanwhile, wouldn't have meant a huge drop in the offer, even if the other two boxes in the round had been the £1k and £3k... I reckon the Banker would have offered £9-10k there, unless of course he chose to be stingy.

And taking out the £50k would quite likely have meant another stick at £13k.

So, do you agree that it was, at least, NOT not worth going on - in that you would have done just that and then taken that £17.5k, or gone all the way ;) - or do you disagree?

I reckon the banker would have been stingier that you thought after the largest amount came out the game for the 2nd round running. £50k/£20k/3 blues would have been around £8k max I reckon and £75k/£20k/3 blue would have been around £11k at most.

I'd have gone on and taken 17.5k.

£13k for me. Don't think there was enough upside potential in the future offers, nor enough stability to commit to take-the-box.

I'd thought you'd have to avoid all three main reds to get much more at 5-box so I'd have dealt the £13k.

I think you'd be very lucky to get an offer of £10k on a £50k/£20k/3 blues board.

Not sure about £13k, but I would have taken £17.5k.

Well, this poll is now closed, and its result: slightly more people would have taken that £13k than gone on and then taken £17.5k. :? ;)

Fair enough - though I still say I would have done the latter, and I stand by my view that it wasn't not worth going on. ;)
