So they're doing panto specials this year - I gather the contestants will be dressed up as characters from Cinderella, the Wizard of Oz, Aladdin et cetera et cetera.

Seems rather strange, though, to have shows on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day - but not on the 29th or 30th...

Unless, of course, it happens to be taking a little break after the last special on the 28th, to return on 2 January.

If he's right, then the Christmas TV guides are wrong.

Is the Christmas TV guide you are using one of the ones that are usually in the papers late Nov/early Dec ?....if so they are always usually wrong. Think the correct ones usually come out 2nd week in Dec so probably in next few days.

Radio Times Christmas Guide is out on Wednesday.

I got the times from the Christmas edition of Total TV Guide initially. I've also checked the Christmas editions of the Radio Times & What's On TV which all confirm the same times. The Christmas TV guides are officially due on sale on Tuesday, however depending on where you live they are on sale from Saturday (assuming the shop put them out on sale that day). In fact the Christmas edition of Total TV Guide was even earlier and came out on Friday. Which is how I was able to post the times on Friday night (in case anyone was wondering).

That is why I assumed they were confirmed times as I didn't think the "proper" TV guides would be wrong. I know the preview ones you get in the papers tend to be inaccurate, and often seem to guess when things will be on. In place of DoND on those two days the TV guides have an hour long edition of Come Dine With Me replacing the show instead.

Back in April (yes, April) I was told that the last 3 shows of the year would be the transitted on the 28th, 29th and 30th. A lot could have happened since then though.

Just to confirm there are shows on the 29th & 30th December. So for whatever reason the Christmas TV guides had the wrong information listed, but the Radio Times website has confirmed there are shows on those days.

The TV guide in the Sun newspaper yesterday does not have DOND on 29th and 30th Dec

Just need for someone now to list all of who's playing in the spoiler thread...... there has been three already listed but that isn't enough.

Just to let you know, every time you ask for spoilers, I get even less inclined to post them. It's about as likely as you not opening your box in about 90% of games.

You haven't got to wait long to find out who's playing on the first couple of shows anyway!

Well, I was right to suggest that the Christmas TV guides (including the Sun's, granitecitybino) were wrong...

And I see that it's pretty much as normal once the Panto Specials are over... no show on New Year's Eve (a Saturday) but one on New Year's Day (a Sunday).
