The Hotel? Chain Or No Chain?

Just wondering if the hotel used for the contestants is part of a chain or is private.
I would imagine that if it is private it wouldnt need to have any other guests as it is guaranteed at least 22 rooms fully booked throughtout the year and the most amazing amount of cash taken at the bar every night.
So do the contestants share the hotel with other members of the public?

Don't think the contestants share rooms but from what I hear £300 is put behind the bar every night by the show's staff. Theres a leaving do each night for the 3 players who've been on that day, but the players can't be too obvious about how the contestants did that day as the other guests might cotton on! All sounds like a great laugh I want to stay there! :-D

You heard wrong because they never come into the hotel.

The contestants put the cash behind the bar!

We set up a system that £2000 plus you everyone a round and below that amount everyone bought you a drink.

The Thistle is part of a chain and the players drink less than you would imagine being high after the show. Due to the wide age ranges some folks like me usually had a fairly modest night and a relatively early crash time.
The hotel is open to the public but due to the cost of the beers they head for the pub next door - or at least we did

The hotel is fine and quite rightly popular and the contestants really arent that bad. The late bar is in the basement and well sound proofed anyway

No although they do sometimes gather for a chat if they are unable to wind down after a show or if it is someones last night !
