As the final game of 2011 has been aired, these are what my DO's and DON'T's are for the games in 2012. Feel free to add your own.

1. No first or second round deals. I can't ever see anyone doing that.

2. No more third round deals (HOWEVER if it turns out to be the perfect timing and a spanking or near abouts then that is OK)

3. The £26,000 won't work that often. (Same thing in the brackets as number 2).

4. More players will continue in live play at five box with just ONE blue in play.

5. The Bankers Gamble will be offered more often and accepted.

6. More OHO players.

Mark, why didn't you just say more no-deals and less deals? :)

7. If Noel is to muck about with the offers, then it doesn't result in a deal. ;) ;) ;)

8. No more throwing contestants or pilgrims out of the Dream Factory.

Oh god, ABSOLUTELY!! (Or the parties being thrown out refuse and they have to get security on them) ;-)

9. Fewer players taking 8-box or 5-box offers less generous than one they declined earlier.
10. More offers with choices involved in them, like Monique's five-box offer in the Easter 2010 specials where she could choose either to play on, take a flat £27,500, or (as she did) £20k with a 50-50 chance of doubling it.
11. At least one themed week gameplay twist that is not contingent on No Dealing at 8-box. :)

12. Awareness that there is a difference between a statistically poor deal, and a deal that only looks bad because there was more in the box (i.e. information the contestant didn't have at the time).

And following on from that:

13. Less Schadenfreude towards contestants because they can't see in the boxes. (Ha, not in a million years will that one happen!) :)

14. Less Banker cop-outs. You have a reputation, Mr. Banker.

15. No more ringing back constantly after making an offer.

16. Ignore all of the Banker's mind games.

17. Don't request to speak to the Banker.

18. No more interference from the audience. £15k Geoff =

20. No False starts

21. Win gold medals graciously, don't go taunting the silver and bronze medallists.

22 Noel to stop mentioning before at least 5-box that the player might be the next QM winner (especially if the contestant is male)

Totally with you guys on both Points 8 and 19.

Throwing people out is funny once, maybe even twice, but not now...

Here's another one I've just thought of - no more stupid "pitch invasions" for middle/low red box wins. OK yes if it's a massive life-changer, even if it's not the £250k, another power 5 is fine, they were doing that since 2006.

But for ten grand? Come on!! You could get that my dealing the first offer after a half-decent opener.

Didn't they even do it for £3,000 with Peter last week?

I largely suspect they're told to do it to make red wins from the box seem more exciting than red wins from a Deal... good luck trying to do this after THAT game today!!!

I think the pitch invasions are just something that one group of contestants did, and it just stuck - a bit like other things such as the blue chanting, bowing to the wings at the start, hand-holding, etc.

I suspect that - if anything - they'd discourage them on the lower box wins, because it must be a nightmare for the cameramen to try and film everything when all the contestants suddenly make a bee-line for the pound table.

Yeah it looks like they have become part of the show's tradition now. I'm still undecided about them though. On the one hand it is nice because it ties all the contestants in, they all seem to invest emotionally in each other but at the same time it is a bit of a pain! I can't help feeling that some of them do it just to get on the camera again. But maybe that is just the grumpy cynic in me!

23. Get more proper Sunday players. So far this year, no one on the show has been one. Including the current line up.

23 actually Mark! ;)

And what makes someone a Sunday player?
