From what I've heard, think there is one just across the road.

There should be a list of nearby hotels sent in the e-mail that you should have got from the audience team.

If not then there's these (have stayed in all but the Arnos Manor and 24seven hotel and had no complaints about any I've stayed in)

http://www.a4hotel.co.uk/ - B&B within walking distance of the studio

http://www.arnosmanorhotel.co.uk/ - again within walking distance but nicer hotel

http://www.ibishotel.com/gb/hotel-6593- ... ndex.shtml - about 2 minutes walk from Bristol Temple Meads Station

2 Travelodges (possibly the cheapest option if you can get an advance deal)
http://www.travelodge.co.uk/hotels/info?hotelId=521
http://www.travelodge.co.uk/hotels/info?hotelId=78

Premier inn - http://www.premierinn.com/en/hotel/BRIP ... t?cmp=GLBC

Holiday Inn express (opposite Bristol Temple Meads station but possibly most expensive)
http://www.hiexpress.com/hotels/us/en/b ... oteldetail

http://www.hotel24seven.com/ - long walk but low cost

I stayed in that one when I went to a contestant reunion in April 2010, and it's really good, with newly refurbished rooms. I think my room cost about £25. It's a bit odd as there's no reception - you get given a code for the front door, and then another code for your actual room. There's a phone number you can ring if you have problems though.

It was a 15-min walk to the reunion venue, but I expect it'd be more like a 30-min walk to the studio.

That's why I mentioned it. The new Travelodge is about 20-25 minutes walk from the studio and there's a direct bus between the two.

No mention of the Radisson Blu overlooking the city centre and harbour... which I stayed in for two nights when visiting the city last summer. :eyes: ;) ;) 8)

It's probably a bit too expensive, and the walk from it to the studio is probably a bit too long...

...but you do get great value for money, especially if you get a room on the top 5 floors. ;) ;)

Quite a few bus routes pass close to it, too. ;)

That's not every hotel in the area but I'm ruling out anything over £100 a night (I spend enough on train fares from Yorkshire to Bristol without going overboard on a room for the night)
