Channel 4 lose rights to half of DOND episodes from 2013

BSkyB have won rights to air every single episode of Deal or No Deal, from January 2013. In an unique deal with Channel 4, it will see the terrestrial broadcaster share half of all episodes broadcast over a three year period, in addition to highlights of the remaining games in a late night slot.

Sky are rumoured to be launching a channel dedicated to the programme, Sky DOND HD, which is likely to be free to all Sky 1 subscribers.

The move will see the programme broadcast in high definition for the first time. The channel will also feature, broadcast of foreign versions and classic episodes.

Former Brainteaser presenter and Deal viewer competition voiceover Alex Lovell, is said to be in line to present DOND: Inside the boxes, which will compliment each game with pre-show and post-show reaction.

So will it still be shown on Channel 4?

From what I understand half the shows will be. With a late night shortened down version of the other half.

Whether they chose to air the highlights on More 4 instead is anyone guess.

so people who dont have sky wont be able to watch every deal anymore
