After the conclusion of this week's Ideal Summer specials, what would you say is your overall favorite of the Summer Special weeks?

Just as a reminder the 2008 and 2009 specials had the 50/50 pick twist that was standard for twist weeks back then, 2010 had the 3 bottles that were similar to the 3 eggs used in the Easter specials back then, 2011/2012 had the catapult twist and 2013/2014 had the now standard skill-based 5 box twist.

My favorate would have to be the Seaside Specials, as 4 out of the 5 games were very tense, and the last game of the week was one of my most favorate of all time (Callum's).

As for the other weeks, I was 100% against the catapult and I'm glad the show eventually retired it. I liked the set-up of the 2013 specials and how both the player and the welly-holder could've won a holiday but the games in general were fairly poor due to the over-caution shown at the time. The 2008 specials were a pretty good mix of games, but William's questionable Deal on the last special (and subsequent rejection of an EXTREMELY generous Banker's Gamble) being rewarded with both a Banker Spanking and the extra handout of the holiday somewhat soured it for me. The 2010 specials really weren't memorable, except Laura's game but that was because she meet an untimely death due to cancer a short time thereafter. The last set of specials were pretty good as well, but like with the Banker's Birthday specials earlier this year we owe a lot of that to Box 23, as otherwise it would've been a fairly poor week bar Monday's game.

Easily 2009. LOVED the theme and the specially painted boxes, as well as the ice-cream stall for the 5-box twist. It had at least 3 tense games, including Callum's classic game and £35k Steph's game (the latter of which, people forget about), Irene's unavoidable trainwreck game was really the only waste of time. Overall it was great week and had quite a few talking points on here, Then there was the Newbie Yvonne that week who we never got to see dressed normally, as she was kicked off the show over the summer break and didn't return for the start of Season 5!

I also enjoyed the 2008 summer specials, but it was kind of ruined by Em's £120k Proveout offer and William's deal and banker bonus (probably also the fact that it was during one of DoND's worst peroids, it was like an oasis in the middle of the desert!)

2012's summer special - Well, I liked the theme. But the catapult ruined it, and it didn't really have any memorable games apart from Mark becoming DoND's unluckiest player

2011 was ruined by the catapult, but had a couple of great games in the form of Alphonso and Barnaby

2010 was meh, there wasnt really any memorable games apart from the late Laura who sadly passed away later (Sadly, that's probably the only reason her game is well-remembered ) and perhaps Dai whose £10k win felt like a lot more

I didn't physically see last year's but I liked the players dressing up as pop stars theme. But it was another pretty disappointing week in terms of memorable games
