Incredible news!

Howie Mandel is going to host an episode of DoND in three different countries!:

Three very interesting choices, definitely.

Did I read that right? They are doing ANOTHER Million Dollar Mission???!!! When are they going to learn? Anyway, when they play in the foreign countries, are they going to be using the US or other country's prize web? Because with the exchange rate, Filipino DoND's top prize is only $50,000. We'll just have to wait and see.

I think KP would be quite elated if Howie decided to host a UK version.. so much that he might possibly attend a recording. :P

I am very happy since I heard and read the article about it. According to my friends here, Howie will be using the dollar currency and the jackpot will be $1,000,000 and the player will be an american also. The difference is the set, models and also the audience. They will of course follow the rules of Philippine deal or no deal which in the end... YOU CAN NEVER SWITCH CASES! unless Howie asks the contestant to do so.

The wonderful thing about our version is that the models will enter to the stage dancing with a tune of the Philippine remix of deal or no deal.

Yeah, this really does sound great. This is one gimmick that I'm sure many people will enjoy. And speaking of the Philippines version of DoND, I've seen it before, and I am very impressed with it. The models dance, the host is pretty enough to be considered the 27th model, and the set is nice, too. Plus, KDoND has done something several times that DoND USA has failed to do - crown a millionaire without the need for a Million PHP Mission. Hmm, since KDoND's top prize is PHP 3 million, I wonder if the USA version will use the same game board as KDoND does, with the PHP amounts converted to dollars. It remains to be seen, but wouldn't it be cool if they did? I can't wait for this to begin. It's going to be awesome, to say the least.

(P.S., not being able to switch cases at 2-box is evil. Almost every other version of DoND offers this option. It has never been accepted on the US version, but it certainly has been on the UK version, sometimes with great results.)

One point to do with the switching of cases, given you selected your own case at the beginning, why would you want to switch?

Exacly, I find it pretty pointless in these sort of games.

Would they be using the foreign banker, because the KDoND banker is extremely stingy. He offered 76k with a 75k,100k final 2 once.

I know, but you shouldn't be getting $550,000 with $.01 and $1,000,000 left... At most a $300,000 offer.

Here's an update on the DoND World Tour:
http://nbcumv.com/entertainment/release_detail.nbc/entertainment-20080227000000-nbc039s039dea.html

According to the link, the episodes will be played by American contestants and both Howie and the local host will present the show.

Oh, here's what $1,000,000 would be the selected places Howie is going:

South African Rand: 7,550,500!
Estonian Krooni: 10,281,826!!
Philippine Pesos: 40,325,000!!!

I believe they will be using the dollar currency. The P40,325,000 won't fit well in the cases.

I am very excited about this.
