Noel says we have had an interesting couple of games recently, and he feels he now has to give out a warning, especially after Dave's game, and especially don't do what Jan did yesterday and say 'I need more money than that' as the Banker doesn't like that and he forced he to the end and she joined the 1p club.

Martin is from Essex, and works as a signalman for London Underground. Martin explains how he got into the job. I wonder if the Banker will play to the Tube Workers Get Far Too Much Money trope and basically goad Martin into playing on going "you can afford to go away with a blue, you earn too much anyway, going on strike all the time" or something.

Or Noel might do it, at least jokingly, given his declared political leanings.

Martin introduces his partner and dad who are in the audience for support. Martin shows a photo of himself with his nan who helped bring him up after his mum died when he was 1.

Martin's partner says that is a lot of money. Noel then asks if Martin is engaged, and his partner says not yet, and Noel asks if he will be proposing. The Banker then calls and says he will up the offer by £5,000 if he proposes now. Martin says that he is stuck now, and asks his partner what he should do, and she says that he can't ask her if he should be asking her whether he should propose or not!

Martin says

Well these offers certainly imply that the Banker sees Martin as sufficiently well-off to not be particularly defensive.

£14k was unexpected though after the £100k going and it's £3,433.44 above the FD.

Have a feeling that proposal is coming later, looking at the time and that the break was called early

Normally the break is at 12-box so I'm guessing that was added post-production and something pads out part 3 (maybe an engagement?).
