Rosalind - a white-haired lady dressed entirely in purple and seeming quite sprightly - takes her place. 'Wonderful to see you!' Patrick exclaims immediately. 'And wonderful to see you too!' Rosalind replies, in a faint German accent. 'So much is going on here and I can't wait to get involved!'

'Well, in that case, I think we should get on with it then!' Patrick exclaims, to a very warm reception. 'Let's pick a player!'

'Aha! So we have a contestant from the Ulster region, and I must admit I'm rather looking forward to this...'

'Why, thank you!' Linda exclaims. There is an Irish lilt in her voice, but it's clearly mixed in with some other accent. Patrick enquires about this: 'Actually, my mother was from the Caribbean... moved to Florida when she was 18, looking for work, and she ended up marrying an Irishman whose family had mostly settled in America, and he ended up being successful in the construction business... sold up and moved to Ireland, but he wasted most of his fortune... and I was born in that time and it was all very chaotic, but it made me stronger.'

'That's good too!' Patrick declares, and few are arguing with that.

'I feel confident enough to get Yvonne out of the way, she hasn't had a low number yet so I'll break that curse nice and early. Box 23 please.'

Box 23 - £3,000

'It's still red, but the curse has lifted I'd say!'

'I'd say. Right, I'll go back to Box 3, it doesn't matter really.'

'Two more, and if we keep these low as well we'll be into good money right away. Donald?'

'I doubt the Banker would be that sensible, even if these two are 10p and 50p. But we shall see.'

'Wahey!' Fiona cheers. 'I'm just not phased by anything now. I've got my chance and it's going well. So I'll get 13 out the way too.'

'Ewan... complete this amazing round in the fashion of the other five!'

'Wow!' Fiona exclaims. 'I think we might be doing something right here.'

'Oh, I think so,' Patrick says. A pause, then the phone. 'But he won't.'

'And you're scared already, you say?'

'I must admit... I'd be scared in your position.'

'Oh wow...'

'You're going to like this Fiona... I don't know if it's fear or just because he likes you, but he's offering £9,900 already!'



'I think he's just scared. He doesn't like anyone,' Fiona suggests. 'Unless they have a really terrible game and saves him money. And I won't.'

'I'll go for 24, Abbie looks desperate to be picked!'

'That's more like it!' Patrick exclaims. 'Pawel, you can keep using your left hand now!'

'I don't care, so long as it works!' Fiona replies. 'And I'll have Box 20 please.'

'Gavin, are you ready?' 'I'm always ready for anything.' 'Are you ready for a SUDDEN UNEXPECTED COMMERCIAL BREAK?'

The crowd groan.
