Show of the Month - June 2007 - Heat 1

Another month of Deal or No Deal is over, and it's time for Show of the Month.

Early June was the era of the £1,000, it was won three times in the space of seven shows. We did have some good games, though, as Joe and Penny both won big money and beat the Banker.

Hmm, no stand outs here really.

I think the ones I'd be tempted to vote for are Karen, Renee, Jamie or Rita out of this lot... and it'd be between Renee or Rita... Renee just scrapes it for me.

Joe gets my vote. Entertaining (if a little TOO entertaining at times) an OPW and one of those games that broke a really bad run for a couple of days.

I honestly cannot see any games above worth voting for. Penny's game was a feeble cop-out with a lucky proveout, Joe's was a noisy cop-out, the rest just forgettable.

It was a toss-up between Joe and Penny for me, but Penny gets it, as it was a more surprising deal and she'd have lost the lot if she'd gone to the end, whereas Joe still would have won something decent.

Plus Penny was rather gorgeous and Joe...er...wasn't! ;-)

I'll go for Joe (rhyme!), there'd just been that unlucky period where no one had won over £10,000 for absolutely ages, and then Joe soars past it! It was also the right kind of "COME ON!" game where one player does it and it's them who's remembered for it, rather than one player doing it and then everyone copying them for weeks (like about the same time last year). Plus he just had that aura about him where there was no WAY you could see him winning a blue, and luckily he didn't!

Joe's was the only one with some tension and some excitement even though the 5 box deal was too low at least he got there and won a decent sum of money even though it looked a bit cautious on an all red final 5.

And in a strange way he sort of pulled the 'come on' thing off.
